How we review personal alarms
Our starting point is the provider's own product information and the official guidance that shapes how alarms are used. We separate product claims from our own explanation, and we avoid language that implies a clinical recommendation.
Sources we use
- Provider product pages and plan terms for features, connectivity, and monitoring.
- NHS, GOV.UK, Age UK, and local authority information for UK support routes.
- Medicare.gov, CDC STEADI, and US clinician guidance for US context.
- Alzheimer's Society, Alzheimer's Association, Epilepsy Action, and Epilepsy Foundation for condition-specific context.
Prices and availability
Prices change. We either state the date a price was checked or tell you to confirm the current price with the provider. We do not present an old price as current.
We distinguish between a feature listed by a provider and a feature we have been able to check. When a claim cannot be verified, we either leave it out or describe it as the provider's claim.
